Melman Igba is a boy, not quite a man. Actually, not a man at all. Not a human at least. He's a non-Earthling who emerged unexpectedly from the strange sounds concocted by Dick Chiclet, by his lonesome, of his own accord, outside his usual musical outlets, The Concussions and The Fuzzrites. From these odd, cinematic songs - strange, warm, warped things soaked in the retro-futurist formaldehyde of a long-lost 1950's sci-fi film - sprang the character, and then his story, "I Fear A New World". The sounds, the imagination, the melodies that you've come to know and love from his other bands are present here, but are taken in new, exciting directions. While he wrote all of the songs, and performs nearly all of the instruments (guitars, bass, drums, Farfisa, Stylophone, Clavioline, Moog, piano and more), he's joined by Pete Curry on drums as well as other guest musicians. This is wild, experimental stuff that will appeal to fans of Joe Meek or early electronic music.
